Through the Lens

2007

‘Through the Lens: New Video Art from Ireland’ video screening programme 8 established and emerging contemporary video artists are invited to participate in the video screening programme. Most artists have exhibited in Ireland and internationally in major museums and galleries, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the MOMA in New York, etc, and their works have featured in such major exhibitions and events as Venice Biennale 2007 and Documenta, Kassel 2007, among others. The common thread in every artist’s work is the representation of personal history in juxtaposition with the fast changing contemporary world.
